Turn off SH45 onto Lower Glenn Road. Then turn right onto Kaupokonui Heads Road and follow it through the campsite to the river. Park on the northern side of the bridge. On the side of the baches closest to the river there is a style to cross that gives you access up the river through the Kaupokonui reserve.
