Lake Argyle is popular fishing location for both shore and boat anglers. It is a small man-made hydro storage reservoir about 220m wide, 1300m long and 3.5m deep. Access is excellent with a gravel road following most of the shoreline. It is regularly stocked with hatchery fish (1+ kg), and also has brown trout present. The lower hydro canal (below hydro plant/SH63 is also open all year).
