Track description The track is an easy stroll through tawa and rimu trees. It is connected to an historic mining site with remnants such as old pipes still being visible today. The track is gets muddy after heavy rain, so be prepared for this. Getting there Mamaku is a 20 min drive from Rotorua via SH5 and Dansey Road. Dansey Road becomes Tarena Street once in Mamaku. Use Mauku Street or South Road to cross the railway line. Turn into Mamaku Street. From Mamaku Street, the walk is best accessed from Karamu Street. Park on the side of the road.
