Explore the area
Explore the track route and surrounding area before you set out.
A gentle path from near the café car park entrance takes you through shady forest to explore river terraces formed by Te Hoiere/Pelorus River over thousands of years. Alternatively, the track can be accessed directly from the campground as a gentle path to the cafe, and a loop through the forest.
Situated on the banks of the Te Hoiere/Pelorus River amongst towering kahikatea, beech and rimu trees, Pelorus Bridge Campground is very popular in summer, and advanced bookings are advised.
The reserve is located midway between Blenheim and Nelson on SH6, 18 km west of Havelock. Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there.
