Wharekirauponga Track is closed beyond the wooden footbridge to protect kauri trees from kauri disease. Do not use the closed part of the track. The swimming holes remain available and the first 750 m of the track is open.
The track starts at the end of Parakiwai Quarry Road, 2 km south of the Wentworth Valley near Whangamata. Use this location on Google Maps to help find your way there.
