What is One NZ?
One New Zealand is the telecommunications company previously branded Vodafone New Zealand. One NZ says it is the same company under the newer name, so searches for Vodafone NZ mobile plans may lead to current One NZ products and support.
This guide covers current personal mobile-plan information rather than broadband or business products. Existing customers should check the exact plan shown in My One NZ because older or grandfathered plans can differ from plans available to new customers.
My One NZ login, app, top up and balance
My One NZ is the official account area for checking mobile usage and balance, viewing bills, topping up Prepay, changing an eligible plan and buying extras. Customers can use the One NZ website or the My One NZ mobile app; Companion additions require the app according to the current Pay Monthly page.
The minimum online or app Prepay top-up published by One NZ is NZ$10. For login problems, account access, an incorrect balance or a failed top-up, use the official My One NZ help and contact channels listed in the sources below. One NZ mobile plan prices reviewed in August 2026
One NZ currently advertises Pay Monthly mobile plans from NZ$40 per month and Endless plans from NZ$50. Its published Pay Monthly group options show Endless Plus at NZ$73 and One Plan at NZ$88 for a primary connection, subject to the displayed eligibility and terms.
Prepay Plus starts at NZ$10 per calendar month. The current Rollover tiers listed by One NZ are NZ$18 with 1 GB, NZ$23 with 2 GB and NZ$30 with 3 GB. Higher-use Endless and Unlimited products have different prices and inclusions. Treat every figure here as dated and verify the live plan page before changing.
One NZ Prepay Plus explained
Prepay Plus includes Starter, Rollover, Endless and Unlimited choices. One NZ says these active plans last for a calendar month rather than 28 days, beginning when the plan is activated, purchased or changed and renewing on the corresponding date when enough credit is available.
Rollover plans can retain unused eligible data for up to one year while an active qualifying plan and renewal conditions are maintained. DataUp can add a redeemable bonus after consecutive qualifying renewals, but its bonus does not itself roll over. Changing to an ineligible plan can remove rollover or DataUp benefits, so read the transition rules before switching.
One NZ Prepay Add-Ons, Burst and passes
Current Prepay Plus data Add-Ons are published as 1 GB for NZ$10, 2 GB for NZ$15 and 5 GB for NZ$25 per month. A NZ$5 Burst provides 24 hours of unlimited max-speed New Zealand data plus eligible calls and TXTs, subject to fair use and the Add-On rules.
One NZ also lists recurring 28-day passes for selected apps: Chat for NZ$5, Music for NZ$10, Social for NZ$10 and Video for NZ$20. A pass is not the same billing period as a calendar-month plan, and supported services or traffic can change. Include every recurring extra when comparing annual cost.
One NZ Pay Monthly and Companion plans
Pay Monthly provides a regular bill and currently includes capped, Endless and Unlimited choices. One NZ describes its current mobile plans as open term, but a separate interest-free phone arrangement, promotion or bundle can still create repayment obligations or consequences when changing service.
For eligible group plans, One NZ currently advertises an NZ$73 Endless Plus primary plan with up to three NZ$37 Companion connections, or an NZ$88 One Plan primary connection with up to three NZ$42 Companions. Companion numbers sit on the primary account, and One NZ says control of the number transfers to the primary account holder, who is responsible for charges.
Endless data versus Unlimited data
One NZ defines Endless data as max-speed data up to the plan allowance followed by continued data at a reduced speed. Its current consumer pages and terms state a maximum reduced speed of 1.2 Mbps after that allowance is exceeded, returning to max speed when the plan renews.
One Plan is presented as Unlimited max-speed data without a plan-specific slowdown threshold, subject to fair use. A person who streams, hotspots or works on mobile data should compare the actual max-speed allowance and hotspot terms rather than assuming every “endless” or “unlimited” label has the same meaning.
One NZ coverage, outage checks and network status
A plan’s value depends on service where the user actually needs it. Check the official One NZ coverage map for home, work, commute and travel locations. Coverage maps are guidance rather than a guarantee: indoor service, congestion, terrain, building materials, local faults and device capability can affect the real experience.

One NZ Satellite requires an eligible phone and plan plus a clear line of sight to the sky. Satellite TXT or data availability depends on the plan: One NZ currently includes Satellite Data and TXT on One Plan and Unlimited Prepay, while paid NZ$5 TXT or NZ$20 Data and TXT Add-Ons may apply to other eligible plans.
Satellite data works only with selected apps and supported features, and messages or data can take longer than normal mobile-network service. One NZ roaming and international inclusions
Current eligible Pay Monthly plans can use Daily Roaming for NZ$10 per day per device in more than 165 listed destinations. One NZ separately offers Prepay roaming bundles in more than 70 destinations. Availability, supported networks and charges vary by country and plan.
Check the destination, plan eligibility, daily trigger, fair-use conditions, voicemail and call charges before departure. Turn off roaming or background data when it is not needed, and do not assume a domestic app pass or endless-data benefit applies overseas.
