Access point 9 – Access via the Manapouri – Hillside Road Bridge. There is a gravel road on both sides of the bridge on the true left of the river. You can travel downstream 750m to the confluence with the Mararoa River. There is a large carpark area at the confluence. Upstream of the bridge, the gravel track is adjacent to the river and provides many access points. There is good access on both sides of the river.
