Explore the area
Explore the track route and surrounding area before you set out.
Mohi Bush Track features two easy, reasonably flat loop walks that meet in the centre of the reserve. The short loop cuts through the middle, while the longer loop heads to the far end. Both take you through rich undergrowth of seedlings and ferns beneath podocarps such as miro and matai. This reserve was one of the first in New Zealand to use bait stations for possum control, and the thriving forest shows the results. Mohi Bush is located along a fully sealed road. To access the carpark go through either the gate for larger vehicles like campervans or over cattle stop entrance. The carpark is on grass area in front of shelter. Leave any gates as you found them. Use this location on Google Maps to help find your way there.
No dogs.
