From Christchurch, it’s about an hour’s drive to the reserve. Follow State Highway 75 out of town towards Akaroa and turn right at Little River down Kinloch Road. Turn left at Okuti Valley Road and follow it to Reserve Road. It can be frosty in the valley in winter. Please take care driving in these conditions. Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there. The track then finishes on the Christchurch-Akaroa Road. Either Arrange for someone to pick you up from there , or head back the way you came (making a nice half-day walk).
