Track description Starting across the road from a carpark situated next to the river just south of Whangaiterenga campsite , the track climbs up to a lookout with excellent views of the Kauaeranga Valley and Table Mountain. Return the way you came (30 mins, 1.2km), or take the alternative track down to Whangaiterenga Campsite, with a 4 min walk back along the road to your starting point (45 mins, 1.7km). Getting there Follow the Kauaeranga Valley Rd from Thames for 14 km to the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre. The carpark is 5 km north of the visitor centre, second campsite on the left past the visitor centre (and 2 km north of Hotoritori campsite). Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there.
