This is a basic Great Walk campsite on Stewart Island/Rakiura. It is on a grassy area with Magnetic Beach directly in front of it. It is protected from the prevailing westerly winds by forest.

This is a basic Great Walk campsite on Stewart Island/Rakiura. It is on a grassy area with Magnetic Beach directly in front of it. It is protected from the prevailing westerly winds by forest.
This campsite has six grassy sites two minutes walk from the Port William Hut, set in a mostly sheltered spot near the beach. All campsites on the Rakiura Track have a small shelter where you can set up cooking equipment if you need to, as well as a rainwater tank and toilet. Port William Campsite can also be accessed by water taxi or charter boat.
