Access to Rotoiti Lodge affected by works
Due to water treatment plant replacement work: Summit Street and Ward Street tracks through to Rotoiti Lodge will be closed from Tuesday 29 September to Friday 23 October, 2026. You can still access Rotoiti Lodge via Brunner Peninsula Walk at West Bay or from Ward Street to Lodge Road or via Lodge Road off SH63. There may be disruptions to the water supply on 29 and 30 September including at West Bay campground. First published on 25 September 2026.

Damaged foot-bridge south of Cascade Track
The small foot-bridge just south of Hukere Stream/Cascade Track is damaged. It is possible to cross the stream – however this may become uncrossable during periods of rain. Caution is required.
