This route follows the Cobb Ridge above the Cobb Reservoir, offering wide views of the surrounding ranges. It connects with the Bullock Track near Peat Flat, then climbs onto Peel Ridge before descending via the Lake Peel Track to Myttons Hut near the head of the reservoir.
Myttons Hut
The track starts on Cobb Dam Road, near the information shelter, on route from Upper Takaka to the Cobb Reservoir. The narrow road is unsealed from the powerhouse - care is required and 4WD is recommended in winter due to ice and or snow.
