The Dry Creek Waterfall Track is an gorgeous short family-friendly outing that's a real Hutt Valley gem. Heading through native bush, it travels up the creek to a small 4 metre waterfall. Expect to get wet feet, perfect for a sunny summer’s day. The multple flat grassy areas near the start are ideal for picnics. Great for young family groups, especially in summer. It's not a suitable track for buggies, but for dogs it's okay - just keep them under control and remove droppings.
Dogs under control are allowed in Dry Creek Valley. While the river and track are called Dry Creek, do not expect to keep your feet dry as the creek must be crossed multple times. Avoid the track during or following heavy rain.
From State Highway 2, near the SH2 and SH 58 (Haywards Hill) intersection, the entrance to the park is signposted. Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there. For those using punlic transport, the park entrance is a 10-minute walk from Manor Park Station.
