Explore the area
Explore the track route and surrounding area before you set out.
This is a lesser known walk in the Nelson area to a lookout with really good views. Start at the top of Atmore Drive. Follow Jacks Track for 500m which winds through regenerating native bush, turn a hard left at the small saddle to follow the rough track up to a white seat with great views. Return the same way.
The route is generally well marked and signposted, but there is no signage at the turn off from Jacks Track and some sections may be steep and rough and the track could be muddy. For more information or report any maintenance issues, head to the Nelson City Council website.
