Spectacular views across Wellington Harbour make Kererū Track a worthy drawcard. Starting from Williams Park in Days Bay the trail weaves through mature beech and rātā forest. Keep your eyes peeled for kererū and other native birdlife along the way, as well as indigenous orchids in full bloom. When you arrive at the intersection with Ridgeline Track, you can choose to return along the same track or extend your route by joining with another trail within the park.
The track starts from Williams Park in Days Bay (opposite the wharf and ferry terminal). Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there. There are regular bus and ferry services to Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.
