Kāeaea Track passes through mature forest to just below the Eastbourne viewpoint on MacKenzie Road Track . To take in the views, head along the Kāeaea T rack all the way to the top . T hen either head back down or to complete a loop using Muritai Park Track . Note : Muritai Park Track is not as well graded as Kāeaea Track.
The track starts from Muritai Park in Eastbourne (located between 259 and 261 Muritai Road). There are regular bus and ferry services to Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Use this location in Google Maps to find your way there.
