Tāpapakanga Regional Park
Follow the orange markers from the main beach front carpark up the road before branching off at the cattle stop to the left, taking the small bush track. The track then crosses through the stonefields. The track then joins Deerys Road for a short period before going through open pasture to the highest point of the park where sheep and cattle graze. The track then follows the rdige for a short time, before descending back down to the top of Deerys Road. At the second bridge, the track the goes up over the pa site to the coast returning back to the car park.

Animals: Dogs are not permitted from 1 July to 1 December. Outside this time, dogs must be on a leash Smokefree regional parks: Our regional parks are smoke-free. Visiting areas with healthy kauri trees Please make sure you follow these steps: Clean your footwear, tyres and equipment before and after visiting our kauri forests. If you are walking your dog, you should also make sure you clean their paws. Use cleaning stations every time you pass one while you are walking in a park. Stay on the tracks and keep off kauri roots. Stay away from closed tracks. Don't remove soil from, or bring soil into, areas with kauri trees.
