Track description This is a wheelchair-friendly boardwalk through the bush to a viewing platform and the historic camp house. On a good day, you'll have stunning views of Taranaki, the coastline and inland to the central North Island mountains: Ruapehu, Ngaruahoe and Tongariro. Getting there This track starts at or near the North Egmont Visitor Centre. 13 km south of New Plymouth, in Egmont Village, turn off SH23 into North Egmont Road. The visitor centre is signposted at the junction. Follow North Egmont Road for 16 km to the end.
