Located near the quiet settlement of Huia by the Manukau Harbour, the campground is located on rolling pastures with a backdrop of forest-clad hills and a bush stream nearby with great picnic spots. From the campground, you can walk through a number of paddocks to Karamatura Valley Campground and then make your way to the Karamatura Falls.

Located near the quiet settlement of Huia by the Manukau Harbour, the campground is located on rolling pastures with a backdrop of forest-clad hills and a bush stream nearby with great picnic spots. From the campground, you can walk through a number of paddocks to Karamatura Valley Campground and then make your way to the Karamatura Falls.
Barn Paddock Campground Camping here is tent-only. If the ground is dry, you can park your vehicle right beside your tent. Please note the campground is closed over winter due to wet conditions. Bookings are essential and can be made up to six months in advance. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a combination code to open the locked access gate. The main park gates are open 6am–9pm during daylight savings, and 6am–7pm at other times. If this campsite is full, try the near-by Karamatura Valley Campground . Your campsite must be kept clean and tidy during your stay and when you leave. There are no bins or rubbish facilities, so please take all rubbish and recycling with you. Dogs, pets, and other animals are not permitted at any time. Fires are also strictly prohibited. Getting there: From Titirangi, follow Huia Road for 15 km, passing through the Huia settlement and past the Huia Fire Station. Look for the Barn Paddock Campground sign on your right, marking the gravel access road. The campground is 300 m up this road in a large paddock opposite the Karamatura Heritage Farm. Use this location on Google Maps to help find your way there.
