The Lake Wainamu Track offers an easy and scenic route to the picturesque Lake Wainamu. Beginning at the car park off Bethells Road, the track follows the Waiti Stream and crosses over sand dunes, providing beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The track is approximately 2 kilometres long and takes around 30 minutes to walk one way, depending on your pace. It's suitable for most fitness levels, though some sections require crossing soft sand dunes. Follow the orange trail markers along the stream and over the dunes. At the end of the walk, you’ll arrive at Lake Wainamu, where you’ll find a sweeping black sand beach and the calm, inviting waters of the lake.
